Description
Tonalists made outdoor color studies then completed the paintings indoors. Tonalist painting expressed a sense of unity over diversity, tranquility over activity and spiritual over physical. Tonalists preferred to convey a feeling for the passage of time. It is this that I try to convey in the later stages of my painting career.
