Most artists while on a plein-air jaunt, are at times faced with the unexpected. My friend Ron and I thought we had found the perfect place to paint. We didn’t stop to think how quickly the view
before us would disappear. As the afternoon sun streamed in over the falls, the foliage sang with the greens of the moment. Suddenly realizing that we were losing our view rapidly, I decided to switch my painting tools from brushes to palette knife. The race was on! As the sun began to sink to the right of my view, I placed the last stroke of the knife on the board.

Jim, The waterfall painting is GREAT. I've added it to my favorites! Que. I too went with the print and geclee program and pd. the $35 per year but have no had any sales...none! Have you had any success?
Jim Gola replied:
Bryan... Thanks for the compliment. I had sales early on shortly after the start-up of FAA. Since then almost zero. There are so MANY artists on this site now, a person's percentage falls dramatically with sales. I have sold one original early in the game. Still it is a good website for minimum dollars. I have directed my old site www.jimgola.com to the FAA site. Jim Gola
